When the Miles Lie Between

We have grown to have faith, when there's no hope

And we have learned to be far, but yet so close

When the miles lie between

Some say their relationship couldn't work through

But you couldn't hurt me and I couldn't hurt you

When the miles lie between

The love is strong, it's so deep that it has me out of breath

And so strange, the relationship is standing at its best

When the miles lie between

It's me and you against the world, when I envision that I'm free

Cause when I open my eyes and see I'm not, you're the only one I see

When the miles lie between

Together, we both shine, maybe the brightest at the den

And we both know the tunnels dark, but that the light is at the end

When the miles lie between

When the miles lie between, it's like inches in our hearts

And it stands out like the light that we bring into the dark

When the miles lie between

The love we have for each other is necessary like bread to life

And so I dedicate this poem to my lawfully wedded wife

When the miles lie between

that distance, separation anxiety - I feel it all in this piece! but with a strong heart/mind, love is very much alive: "stands out like the light that we bring into the dark" *sigh* so glad Lim shared this with us. we appreciate YOU, bro!

The love displayed shows that even being miles apart, true love lives...
