What Does Your "Sorry" Really Mean?

Why do you say "sorry" when it obviously doesn't mean shit? Don't use the word if you don't plan on following up with actions that prove as such. It's almost like crying wolf -- after a while, nobody's going to believe you.

So don't dish out fake, half-ass apologizes for argument's sake or to create peace because, truth be told, that's only the calm before the storm.

Call me crazy when I get to flipping and pointing out your recent ways, but I only do that so you can be aware of the dumb shit that's becoming a habit during this ride that's feeling like a battle ship instead of a love ship.

Don't tell me that how I feel doesn't make sense when I'm telling you IT'S HOW I FEEL! I even gave you examples -- now you know a sista been keeping a mental note. Lately, some of the moves you're making ain't speaking too well of your character, especially when I know your character so well.

Loving, caring, attentive, and sharing. Those are the qualities that captured my heart from the start. So when I make you aware that you've been acting out of the norm, don't look at me and ask me what's wrong!

I'm only telling you this because I love you and I don't want to put my finger on the play button to start searching for your replacement. So next time you think about saying "sorry" to me, think about what you're prepared to do to follow up on that sentiment.
